Zionist media: Israel has pressured Egypt to prevent relations with Iran

Pak Sahafat – A Zionist media revealed on Wednesday morning that while Tehran is publicly demanding the restoration of relations with Egypt, at the same time, Israel has put pressure on the government of Cairo to prevent this convergence and closer relations with Iran.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from the Palestinian “Shahab” news agency, “Samdar Bari”, a famous analyst and expert on the Arab world, wrote in Yediot Aharanot newspaper: Just when the Iranian authorities are trying to prepare the space for the return of relations with Egypt, Israeli envoys secretly go to Egypt to explain to the government of Abdel Fattah al-Sisi about the necessity of stopping this action [reviving relations between Cairo and Tehran].

On Monday night, in response to the question of foreign policy reporters regarding the recent news and comments published about the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Egypt, Nasser Kanani said: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is responsible for the implementation of foreign policy and is the only official authority to announce positions and express opinions regarding the country’s foreign relations.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir abdollahian told reporters on Sunday that “We hope to witness a great opening in the relations between Iran and Egypt. In this regard, the dialogue with the Egyptian side is ongoing, and relations with Egypt are important for us.

He added: The two countries’ interest protection offices are active in Tehran and Cairo, and at the head of these offices there is an ambassador-level person from both sides, so there is an official channel for direct contact and communication between us.

Amir Abdullahian stated: Of course, some countries are making efforts to encourage Egypt and the Islamic Republic to improve the relations between the two countries. We have always welcomed the development of relations between Tehran and Cairo. The heads of our agencies, our interest protection offices in Tehran and Cairo have good meetings. There are good accesses to the authorities of both countries.

Amir Abdollahian pointed out: We hope that within the framework of Raeesi’s government’s vision, we will witness new and mutual steps being taken to develop relations with the countries of the region, with the friendly and brotherly country of Egypt, which we prioritize relations with this country in our foreign policy.

He added: We should not act on the basis of speculation, but as we have already announced many times, the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran is determined to develop relations with its neighbors and Islamic countries.

On the other hand, Fadahosein Maliki, a representative and member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Council, said that “in the near future, we will see the opening of embassies in Iran and Egypt.”

Maliki added: After the opening of the embassies, a meeting will be arranged between Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Egypt announced earlier that it has decided to offer a set of facilities to foreign tourists, including Iranians.

Ahmed Issa, the Minister of Tourism of Egypt, announced earlier that in the framework of the Egyptian government’s desire to attract more tourists, it will provide new facilities for obtaining tourist visas to citizens of different countries, including Iran.
