According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report, “Uzi Dan”, the correspondent of the Zionist newspaper “Haaretz” to Doha, called the raising of the Palestinian flag in the Qatar World Cup by the spectators and players of the national football teams of Islamic and non-Islamic countries as a “phenomenon” and considered it a “clear political message” for the Zionist regime.
Uzi said: In addition to the Palestinian flag, cloth and very large signs with bold letters have been installed on the steps of Qatar stadiums with the words “FREE PALESTINE” written on them, which were widely welcomed in the World Cup.
He stated that the flag of the Zionist regime was installed and raised in all previous World Cups, except for this World Cup, and added: At first, we were unhappy and sad that the Israeli cabinet did not show any effort for this task, but now we found that Tel Aviv had correctly understood the existing reality and knew what Israel is in the public opinion of the world, especially Arabs and Muslims.
Referring to the presence of 32 countries in the World Cup, the correspondent of the Zionist newspaper “Haaretz” explained: It is normal to see the flags of these countries, but by seeing the Palestinian flag everywhere from coffee houses, restaurants, shops to streets and buses, one imagines that the Palestinian national football team is the 33rd participant in the World Cup.
