Yemeni re-drone strikes Abuha Airport in southern Saudi Arabia

Today, for the second day in a row, a drone unit of the Yemeni Army and People’s Committees targeted the Abuha Airport in southern Saudi Arabia.

A spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sari, announced the successful re-operation of the country’s drone unit at Abuha Airport in southern Saudi Arabia.

He said that today (Sunday, February 14), two UAVs, Samad 2 and Samad 3, targeted Abha Airport.

Brigadier General Yahya Sari added: “This operation was carried out in the framework of a natural and legal response to the escalation of the Saudi coalition aggression and the comprehensive siege of Yemen.” We once again warn all citizens to stay away from airports and bases used for military purposes [by the Saudi coalition].

Following the news, Saudi media claimed that the Saudi coalition had intercepted two Yemeni drones on the route of Khamis Mushait.

This is the fourth drone strike by the Yemeni army on Abuha Airport in southern Saudi Arabia in the past five days.

Yesterday evening (Saturday – February 13), a spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces announced the successful drone strike on an important target at Abuha Airport and wrote on his Twitter page that this drone is of the “Samad 3” type and has hit the intended target accurately, in response to the Saudi coalition air strikes and the continuation of the siege of Yemen.

The Saudi coalition claimed yesterday that it had thwarted all Yemeni military drone strikes in recent days and that Yemenis were trying to target civilian positions. Meanwhile, the Yemeni army announces that Saudi coalition fighters are flying from Abuha airport to bomb Yemeni territory, and that the targets of the Yemeni drone strikes are purely military.
