Yemeni forces take control of one of the largest Saudi military camps in Ma’rib

Yemeni army forces and popular committees took control of the Kufl strategic camp, one of the largest Saudi military camps west of the city of Ma’rib.

As Yemeni forces continued their advance west of the oil-rich province of Ma’rib, they seized control of the Kofel (Saudi coalition) military camp in the Sarawah area last night.

According to the report, Yemeni army forces and Ansarullah affiliated popular committees managed to take control of the military camp, one of the largest aggression coalition bases in Ma’rib, after four days of intense fighting with Saudi coalition militias.

A Yemeni military source said Yemeni forces had made significant progress south and west of Ma’rib.

Kofel army camp is one of the largest army camps of the Saudi coalition in Ma’rib province, northeast of Sanaa province.

Experts believe that by taking control of this army camp, the Yemeni militant forces are in fact on the verge of taking control of the entire city of Ma’rib, so this military achievement is very important.

Meanwhile, Brigadier General Yahya Sari, a spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, recently announced that Yemeni forces had targeted UAVs at the Abha military airport in the Asir region of southern Saudi Arabia.

He stressed that the hangar at Abha Airport had been targeted by four Yemeni army drones and that part of the airport had caught fire.
