Pak Sahafat – American President Joe Biden announced after the resignation of Susan Rice, his senior domestic policy adviser, and on the eve of the start of the American parties’ election activities for the 2024 presidential election, that “Nira Tanden” will serve as the new head of his domestic policy council.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency report, 52-year-old Neera Tanden is one of the prominent Democratic political activists who will replace Susan Rice, who will leave his position at the end of this month.
Tanden has been working as a senior advisor and staff secretary in the White House for the past year and a half. The US Senate had previously opposed his nomination to run the Office of Management and Budget.
In a statement, Biden said Nira will oversee some critical programs as a domestic policy adviser, and his previous insight will serve the administration and the American people well.
In addition, the White House announced that Steve Feldman, a longtime Biden aide who also worked in the Obama administration, will replace Tanden as White House staff secretary.
According to US media reports, the decision to choose Tanden comes as Biden prepares for the election campaign and plans to rely on the effective implementation of a series of domestic policy achievements, including infrastructure, climate and health care.
Rice’s Domestic Policy Council has also played a central role in crafting the administration’s strategy to replace Act 42, the tough Trump-era border policy set to be repealed next week.
Tanden, who is of Indian origin, has extensive experience in Democratic political circles and previously ran the think tank Center for American Progress.
He also served as a senior health official in the Obama administration and was instrumental in drafting the Affordable Care Act.
“Susan Rice”, the former senior adviser of Biden’s domestic policy, is going to leave her position on the 26th of this month. He was one of the main participants of the Biden government in the issue of immigrants on the US-Mexico border and returning many of them.
Previously, Rice was a leading Democratic expert on American foreign policy in the position of National Security Adviser to former US President Barack Obama and US Ambassador to the United Nations, who worked closely with Joe Biden as Vice President during the Obama administration.
