Washington on high alert

The Pentagon has announced that at least 2,300 members of the US National Guard will remain on alert in Congress until May 23, 2021, following growing concerns about a riot by supporters of Donald Trump in the US capital.

The Russian network “Rashatodi” reported in this regard, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby told reporters yesterday (Tuesday) that the Pentagon was working to “gradually reduce the number of National Guard troops provided conditions allow.”

He went on to say, however, that about 2,300 US National Guard personnel are allowed to remain in Congress until May 23.

According to the report, this week, more than 5,000 members of the US National Guard were still on standby in the US capital following the recent threats by the extremist group Q-Inan.

Q-Inan is a pervasive and baseless conspiracy theory that emphasizes that Donald Trump is at war with satanic elites who sexually abuse children and infiltrate the government, the market, and the media.

Followers of the movement believe that the struggle will eventually lead to a day of reckoning in which people like Hillary Clinton are arrested and executed.

On Monday this week, following increased security measures, a working group appointed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made proposals to improve equipment, training, and planning for congressional police forces.

According to the report, if the US National Guard withdraws from the capital by the end of May (early June), which is still uncertain, the US Congress will be under the protection of the US military for more than four months.

More than 20,000 US troops have been stationed in the US capital since the Jan. 6 riots in front of Congress.

Trump, whose allegations that the election was stolen from him and his supporters sparked a congressional uprising on January 6, prompting his impeachment motion on Twitter, despite the end of his presidency. He has taken every opportunity to incite his supporters to revolt.

In a recent speech, he reiterated the possibility of winning the “third term” if he decided to run for president, which was in fact a continuation of his previous claims of winning the 2020 US presidential election.
