US expressed concern over launch of Zul-Jannah satellite rocket

The US State Department, in response to the successful launch of the Zul-Jannah solid-fuel satellite rocket, claimed that such satellite-launched rockets were of serious concern.

The new US administration headed by Joe Biden, following the former Republican administration led by Donald Trump, reiterated its concerns about the ballistic missile program of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to AFP, the US State Department on Tuesday evening expressed deep concern over the successful launch of the Zul-Jannah satellite missile, attributing it to the acceleration of Iran’s missile progress.

A State Department spokesman said in a brief statement: “The United States remains concerned about Iran’s efforts to develop [space technology] (SLV) because these programs are capable of developing Iran’s ballistic missile development.”

In this statement, while repeating the fabricated and baseless claims against the Islamic Republic of Iran, it is stated: “Space launchers are a serious concern because they contain technologies similar to and interchangeable with ballistic missile technologies, including long-range systems.”

Zol-Jannah, a three-stage solid-fuel satellite rocket, is the latest space achievement of the Iran in the field of indigenous satellite satellites. Yesterday (Tuesday) the news of its research launch from Imam Khomeini space base in Semnan was announced by the space group of the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Support.

Zol-Jannah, unlike Safir, Simorgh and Ghased satellite satellites, which use liquid fuel in the first stage, its first and second stages are solid fuels, which in this regard, for the first time in our country, solid fuel satellites have been produced in the first stage.

Regarding the ability to inject cargo into orbit, Zul-Jannah is capable of injecting up to 200 kg of cargo, which can inject one satellite or several satellites with a total weight of 200 kg up to a 500 km orbit around the earth; Another feature of Zul-Jannah is that it does not need a fixed base for launching and it can be launched on a mobile launch pad from anywhere in the country.

Earlier, Mohammed Abdul Salam, a spokesman for the Yemeni Ansarullah movement, said that the test was a message to friend and foe alike, referring to Iran’s successful launch.
