US Department of Justice: More than 535 people have been charged with attacking Congress

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia issued a statement, according to the Congressional Information Service: Six months after the January 6 attack on the Congress building, more than 535 people have been charged.

So far, 495 people have been charged with entering or staying in federal buildings, according to the report. About 235 people have also been charged with obstructing, infiltrating or destroying a formal process or attempt to do so.

The statement added: At least 165 people have been charged with assaulting or resisting security and police officers or congressional staff.

The FBI has released 11 new videos of suspects who carried out violent attacks on police and security forces during an attack on the Congress building.

The US Attorney’s Office added: About six people have been arrested or charged with attacking or destroying media activists.

But the US Department of Justice has said it needs the help of the public to identify another 300 people who committed acts of violence during the attack.

So far, 495 people have been charged with entering or staying in federal buildings, according to the report. About 235 people have also been charged with obstructing, infiltrating or destroying a formal process or attempt to do so.

The attack caused $ 1.5 million in damage to the Congress building. About 10 people have been found guilty of the charges so far.
