US agrees to provide $ 1 billion to build Kuwaiti Defense Ministry headquarters

Pak Sahafat – The US State Department on Wednesday night announced the allocation of $ 1 billion to design and build the headquarters of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense and sell the necessary equipment to the country.

According to Pak Sahafat News agency, Reuters, the US Department of Defense’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency, informed Congress yesterday about the allocation of the budget to Kuwait.

The US Department of Defense said: Agreeing to this budget will allow an American employer or the US government to manage and oversee the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense’s construction project and related equipment for seven years.

Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmed Nasser al-Muhammad al-Sabah said during a visit to Washington in early February that the United States was a “good partner and friend” to Kuwait.
