According to official figures, more than 3.3 million Americans died last year, the largest one-year death toll in US history. Eleven percent of these deaths were due to corona virus.
U.S. officials also said the largest drop in life expectancy was among Hispanics living in the United States and that life expectancy among black Americans did not change much.
But corona virus is not the only reason for the decline in life expectancy in the United States. Other causes include white drug use among whites and an increase in homicides and shootings among blacks.
Other problems of black and Hispanic people in the United States that have reduced life expectancy among them include lack of access to quality health care, living in crowded neighborhoods, and increasing populations of low-income people who are forced to continue working in the midst of an outbreak.
Corona deaths have been higher among minorities in the United States. In part, this is because working minorities cannot work from home, there are more households among them, and they do not have access to health care.
According to the latest statistics, more than 625,000 people in the United States have died due to corona virus, which is the highest number of corona victims in the world.
Life expectancy or average life expectancy is a statistical indicator that shows how long members of a community live on average, or in other words, how long they are expected to live.
The higher the level of health cares in a community, the higher the average life expectancy. Therefore, this index is one of the indicators for measuring the progress or backwardness of countries.
