UAE cancels participation in joint air parade with Zionist regime

Pak Sahafat – The UAE has canceled its participation in a joint air parade with the Zionist regime, which was scheduled to take place on May 5 on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the establishment of the regime in the occupied territories.

The Zionist newspaper “Israel Today” today (Wednesday) revealed the following: The Israeli Pilots Syndicate received two letters from Al-Ittihad Flight (UAE National Airlines) and Abu Dhabi Airways on Tuesday that they had withdrawn from the program.

The two companies have not yet made an official statement in this regard.

The Al-Khaleej Al-Jadeed news website quoted the Israel Today newspaper as saying that the two companies withdrew from participating in the air show following tensions in the city of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The UAE on Tuesday summoned Israeli ambassador to Abu Dhabi Amir Hayek to protest Israeli attacks on worshipers in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

This is the UAE’s first such move since normalizing relations with the regime and exchanging ambassadors in 2020.

Various Palestinian groups have strongly condemned the UAE’s attempt to normalize relations with the occupying regime in Jerusalem as a betrayal of the Palestinian cause.

The UAE Foreign Ministry said in a statement that “the Minister of State for International Cooperation, Reim al-Hashimi, had summoned Hayek and informed him of the UAE government’s strong protest and condemnation of the events in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

He also stressed the right and necessity of Jordan’s role in caring for the holy sites and endowments in accordance with international law and existing historical conditions, and not encroaching on the authority of the Jerusalem Endowment and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The severe repression of the Palestinians has been carried out in an organized manner since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. Zionist officials on Tuesday launched a new offensive by sending hundreds of new troops to Al-Aqsa Mosque, which observers believe will greatly increase tensions in the region.

It is very likely that the Zionists have devised a new plan in the midst of the Ukraine war that has engulfed the world, targeting areas in Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip with its fighter-bombers on Tuesday morning.

It seems that the Zionists are trying to provoke the Palestinian resistance forces as much as possible by reproducing the violence inside the occupied territories, and these movements will increase every day as the International Day of Al-Quds approaches.
