Turkey: We are negotiating with the Sudanese to establish a ceasefire

Pak Sahafat – Turkey’s foreign minister said on Wednesday night that his country is negotiating with the conflicting parties in Sudan to establish a ceasefire.

According to the report of Pak Sahafat News Agency from Turkey’s Anatolia news agency, Turkish Foreign Minister Cavusoglu added: Both sides involve our brothers. Why should we take one of them? We are negotiating with the commander of the Rapid Support Forces and the head of the Governing Council to stop the conflict.

The Turkish Foreign Minister further expressed his hope that on Thursday and on the eve of Eid al-Fitr, the conflicting parties in Sudan will reach an agreement to establish a ceasefire.

He stated that contacts with Turkish citizens in Sudan continue, and asked them to stay in safe places until the ceasefire is guaranteed.
