Throwing eggs at the new king of England

Pak Sahafat – British news sources reported on Wednesday the arrest of a man who threw eggs at King Charles III and his wife Camelia during their visit to York.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, the images published in local media show that the police officers immediately attacked the attacker and pulled him out of the crowd. According to some news sources, three eggs were thrown at the King of England, but none of them hit him or his wife.

Charles became the heir to the throne in this country last September after the death of his mother, Elizabeth II. He has been attacked several times by the opponents of the royal system in this country.

During Elizabeth’s funeral, which is estimated to have cost several billion pounds, one protester in the crowd shouted that the royal family’s extravagance was funded by people struggling with unprecedented inflation and a cost-of-living crisis.

The economic conditions of England are in the worst conditions of the last half century due to several consecutive crises. The inflation rate has reached 10.1%, which is the highest level in the last 40 years. According to the Governor of the Bank of England, the country has entered a long period of recession and the unemployment rate is expected to almost double by 2025.

Last Saturday, thousands of people from different sections of the British people protested the high cost of living and the crisis in the streets of the capital and demanded the holding of general elections.

According to the announced schedule, the official coronation ceremony of Charles will be held on the 6th of May next year.
