The governor of Karbala announced this year’s Arbaeen as the biggest ceremony in history, which according to official statistics; nearly 22 million people participated in it.
According to the report of the International group of Pak Sahafat news agency, Naseef Jassim al-Khattabi, governor of Karbala, said that the Arbaeen ceremony of Salar al-Shahidin, peace be upon him, was the largest Arbaeen ceremony to date, and 60 thousand volunteers participated in this ceremony.
He said: “No security plan would have been successful without service and health plans and transportation of visitors.”

Iraqi Interior Minister Usman Al-Ghanami said during a press conference after the Arbaeen ceremony that our security forces thwarted efforts to create sedition.
He said that the establishment of headquarters at the entrances of Karbala province played a role in facilitating and securing the entry of Arbaeen pilgrims.
Iraqi Interior Minister said that nearly 22 million pilgrims entered Karbala province during Arbaeen.
