The US military has increased the number of its mercenaries in Syria’s largest gas field

The US military has increased the number of mercenaries at the country’s largest gas field to steal Syrian resources, a Russian news agency reported.

Sputnik news agency reported this evening (Monday), citing local Syrian sources, that the United States has strengthened its presence in eastern Syria.

According to the report, the United States has shipped more than 30 trucks carrying logistics, weapons, ammunition and oil equipment to the Koniko gas field in eastern Syria; The field that this country uses as its base in the region.

Sputnik quoted local Syrian sources as saying that US forces were training mercenaries at Koniko field, Syria’s largest gas field; A field that produces 10 million cubic meters of gas.

The report goes on to say that the United States is using these forces to protect the region’s gas and oil facilities in order to facilitate the process of stealing Syrian resources and transferring them daily to Iraq.

Sputnik also reported that US forces were using the Koniko field as a tribal prison for the region and transferring people who opposed the country’s presence in Syria to prisons in the field and the Omar oil field.

The report comes as the official Syrian News Agency (SANA) has repeatedly reported that US forces are smuggling Syrian resources into Iraq.

Residents of al-Hasakah provinces and the city of Qamishli in northeastern Syria have already demonstrated several times in support of the government and against US-affiliated militias.

Much of al-Hasakah province is occupied by Kurdish militias affiliated with US terrorist forces.

The eastern regions of Syria are rich in oil resources, and the US military, with the help of its affiliates, is looting and smuggling Syrian oil.
