The UAE turned Yemeni gas facilities into a military base and a secret prison

Pak Sahafat – News sources revealed that the UAE regime has turned one of the most important gas installations in Yemen’s Shabwah province into a military base and a secret prison.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report, in a research report published by Arab Journal, it is stated: “Belhaf” gas facility is one of the most important gas facilities in Yemen, which started its operation under the supervision of Yemen Liquid Gas Company in 2009 with a production capacity of six million and 700 thousand tons, and its annual income for Yemen is nearly 4 billion It was dollars.

Based on this report, It was on April 4, 2015 that the Yemen Gas Company announced that due to the deterioration of the conditions, the export of liquefied gas from this facility was stopped, and a year after that, the resigned government of Yemen, headed by the resigned president “Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi” and The government of this country agreed to hand over a part of the Belhaf facility to its loyalist militias to use it as a military base, and the UAE has been under control of the Belhaf facility with these militias since then, and Yemen is deprived of exporting liquid gas.

According to this research report, the comparison of aerial maps and satellite images before and after shows that the UAE has built several airplane runways, Apache helicopters and drones, and established maintenance centers and Patriot air defense systems in a part of Belhaf facilities.

The Ministry of Human Rights of Yemen recently announced the existence of 18 UAE prisons in Yemen, including in the provinces of Aden, Lahj, Abin, Shabwa and Hadhramout, and announced that the aggressor Saudi and Emirati coalition did not stop at detaining Yemenis, but also engaged in human trafficking in Yemen. The “National Front of South Yemen” also announced that the UAE has secret prisons in Yemen.

Recently, America and France have taken action to resume the activity and export of Belhaf gas facilities, and according to the received information, Total Company has signed a contract with the UAE for the export of Yemeni gas.
