A Zionist network reported that the UAE and Bahrain have significantly reduced their financial assistance to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
Zionist Channel 12 reported that Abu Dhabi and Manama, following the Palestinian Authority’s sharp remarks against the UAE and Bahrain, after normalizing relations with Tel Aviv, extended their assistance to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) have reduced significantly.
The website of the Zionist network “Makan” reported today (Friday), quoting Channel 12, that this financial aid has been reduced to the point that the two sides donated only $ 1 million to UNRWA last year, compared to the aid $ 51 million in 2019.
The Zionist network blamed the UAE and Bahrain for the harsh remarks by the Palestinian people and Palestinian Authority officials against Abu Dhabi and Manama after the signing of a normalization agreement with Tel Aviv.
The UAE and Bahrain signed a normalization agreement with the Zionist regime in mid-September last year through the mediation of former US President Donald Trump, which Palestinian groups and people saw as a dagger to the Palestinian cause.
Following the signing of the agreement on the normalization of relations between the UAE and Bahrain on the one hand and the Zionist regime on the other, the slope of coordination between the two parties has intensified, including economic and security issues.
Channel 12 also reported that UNRWA now hopes that the new US administration will fill this financial gap.
At the same time, Lynn Stint, UNRWA Deputy Chief of Staff, has warned that the agency’s financial situation has reached such a dangerous level that UNRWA can barely pay its employees last November and December.
Earlier, the French newspaper Le Monde reported that the UAE was coordinating with the Zionist regime to eliminate the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Middle East.
