Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said: By connecting the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) to Afghanistan, important trade goals can be achieved.
He added: We are working with China to improve the economic situation and development. China is our main partner.
Mujahid further expressed hope that Pakistan would continue to increase bilateral trade with Afghanistan.
A Taliban spokesman clarified: We assure Pakistan that there will be no threat to its security on Afghan soil.
According to him, Afghanistan appreciates Pakistan’s long-standing assistance and partnership with the Afghan people and hopes that Pakistan will continue its efforts to help its people and bring peace.
