The Russian embassy responded to the British Foreign Secretary’s repeated accusations

In response to the British Foreign Secretary’s remarks, the Russian Embassy in London emphasized: The deliberate use of the false slogan of “Russia’s aggressive policy” is quite clear, while Moscow has not the slightest intention of attacking Ukraine, and this has been repeatedly stated.

According to the Pak Sahafat news agency, quoted by “Novosti” news agency, the Russian embassy in London said in a statement that British Foreign Secretary Liz Terras’s allegations that Moscow was pursuing an “aggressive policy” were baseless and that the Russian side was concerned.

The statement said: “The excessive use of the term ‘Russian offensive policy’ is clear, and the British chairman of the G7 ministerial meeting has deliberately used the term in order to find a common reason for ‘manifestation of unity’, while repeating such an accusation.

The Russian Embassy has emphasized: “In particular, the accusation of ‘Russian aggression against Ukraine’ is a false slogan that does not correspond to reality and has been used by the British media and politicians for specific anti-Russian purposes lately. At the same time, the military support of NATO members, including Britain, for the Kiev authorities has brought the current complex and difficult situation in Ukraine to the brink of explosion.”

Russian diplomats in London have stressed: “The Russian Federation has not the slightest intention of attacking Ukraine, and Moscow officials have repeatedly stated this. But the situation in Ukraine, given the years of civil war in the country and the destructive actions of the government and the expansion of military operations in the Donbas region, is becoming more and more explosive. “It’s the responsibility of NATO member states, including the United Kingdom, to provide military support.”

The statement from the Russian Embassy stated that the actions of the Western countries reflect the fact that, as in the past, they have no interest in the peaceful settlement of the military conflict in Donbas and prefer to use it as a factor against Russia, and in the meantime, the Ukrainian people, especially those living in the southeast.

It should be noted that British Foreign Secretary Liz Terrace announced on Saturday that she intended to meet with her G7 counterparts in Liverpool to discuss the issue of “creating a united front against Russia” due to the current situation in Ukraine. On the eve of the meeting, Ms. Terras also met with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and stressed that London would support Ukraine in the event of a “Russian invasion”.
