Pak Sahafat – The spokesman of the General Command of the Iraqi Armed Forces announced that 20 million foreign and Iraqi pilgrims have traveled to Karbala.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report on Friday, quoted by Iraq’s Al-Maloumah news agency, Yahya Rasool, the spokesman of the General Command of the Iraqi Armed Forces, announced the visit of 20 million pilgrims in Karbala.
He said: 15 million Iraqis and 5 million foreigners have attended this year’s Arbaeen in Karbala.

Rasool added: This year’s ceremony has been facilitated in the transportation of pilgrims, and large security units have entered Karbala to ensure the safety of the ceremony and pilgrims.
He continued: Security forces will be present in Karbala until the return of the pilgrims, and aerial surveillance continues for 24 hours to ensure the security of the city of Karbala and its surrounding areas.
