The former US defense minister demanded that the army generals answer for the failure in Afghanistan

Pak Sahafat – Christopher Miller, the last defense minister of Donald Trump, has demanded the accountability of the country’s army generals regarding the failure in Afghanistan and Iraq.

According to Pak Sahafat news agency report, with the release of his new book, Miller said that despite the failure of the American army in Afghanistan and Iraq, no high-ranking military official was held accountable for this failure.

He criticized the American generals who have high positions despite military failures.

In an interview with the Washington Examiner news website, Miller said: “We lost the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, but no one is accountable for that. You are responsible for what happened.”

He said that numerous generals during the two wars said with “great confidence” that they would achieve the ultimate objectives of the American forces’ mission, but “failed horribly.”

Miller is upset that these generals have been promoted instead of being removed and impeached.

He said: “Nobody has held them accountable. On the contrary, they have been given positions on the board of directors of companies and research centers and receive exorbitant salaries.”
