The FBI alleges the theft of a laptop from Nancy Pelosi’s office

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has accused a woman who was among the attackers of the Congress building of stealing the laptop of the US Speaker and selling it to Russia.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) claims that a woman who was among the attackers on the Congress building and approached the office of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stole her laptop and tried to sell it to Russia.

According to Politico, the AFBI is examining the evidence for this “strange” claim, citing the allegations in a testimony describing the charges against the woman.

The woman, named Riley John Williams of Pennsylvania, is said to have been seen in camera footage recorded in Congress two weeks ago Wednesday near Pelosi’s office.

This testimony states that: According to local police in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Williams’ mother announced that her daughter had prepared for a good trip and left the house, saying she would not be back for several weeks. But Williams did not give his mother any other information about her destination.

Also, Pelosi’s assistant did not comment on this and it is not clear whether the laptop or its memory was stolen or not.

The woman is currently charged with entering a restricted building and committing misconduct inside a congressional building.

The US Congress was counting the votes of the Electoral College on Wednesday to approve the results of the November 3 presidential election, which Trump called on his supporters to hold so-called peaceful demonstrations after several US lawmakers protested the Arizona vote.

Following the incident, many Democratic lawmakers in Congress accused Donald Trump of inciting his supporters to carry out the attack and demanded his impeachment.

The US House of Representatives voted against Trump’s impeachment in December 2019 over the so-called “Ukraine Gate” scandal, given his majority in the Democrats, but his impeachment in the Senate did not vote due to the opposition of the ruling Republican majority in the Senate.
