The energy crisis in Germany reached chain stores

The energy crisis in Germany has caused many problems for industries and chain stores of this country, so that some large stores of this country have had to close earlier than usual.

According to Pak Sahafat news agency, citing Anatoly, with the rise of the energy shortage crisis in Germany, Aldi Nord, one of the largest retailers in the country, has announced that all its branches will be closed early at night.

The imposition of sanctions by European countries against Russia and the lack of fuel in most European countries have caused the closure of many industries in these countries, especially Germany. Most of the German industries say they have been facing electricity and gas shortages for the past months, which may cause irreparable damage in the future.

Aldi Nord store officials announced by publishing a message on Twitter that they have to close their stores earlier than usual to save electricity. From November, all branches of this store will be closed at 8:00 PM.

According to available statistics, Eldi Nord is not the only German company that has faced the problem of lack of electricity.

According to the German newspaper Bild, the chain of electronics stores Saturn (Saturn) and department stores of the Galeria group (Galeria) have turned off their escalators a few months ago.

Volkswagen, the world’s second largest carmaker, plans to heat its production halls to only 17 degrees Celsius, and in return workers will be given warmer clothes.

On Tuesday, the German officials of the famous fireworks festival “Cologne Lights” announced that this festival will not be held next year due to the energy crisis in Germany and Europe.

In a statement, the organizers announced that the annual musical fireworks show, which was scheduled to take place on July 15, 2023, has been canceled due to the inability to manage costs.

German officials stated that price fluctuations are difficult to predict and the costs of personnel and celebration have increased greatly, and with such conditions, holding this festival is almost impossible.

“Cologne lights” is one of the biggest firework shows in Germany, which attracts nearly 800,000 visitors to the banks of the Rhine every year to watch this spectacle.

Germany is facing the biggest energy crisis in its country’s history due to the Russia-Ukraine war, which led to disruptions in oil and gas supply and pushed energy prices to their highest levels.
