The Canadian Parliament declared a pro-Trump group a terrorist

Members of the Canadian Parliament unanimously agreed to include the American group “Proud Boys” in the list of terrorist organizations.

The Canadian Parliament has called on the government of Justin Trudeau to officially place the far-right group on the terrorist list.

“Proud Boys” is one of the groups involved in the January 6 attack on the US Congress building by supporters of former US President Donald Trump.

During the attack and the occupation of Congress by Trump supporters, five people were killed and several were injured, and the House of Representatives re-impeached him, citing Trump’s authoritarian role in “inciting the insurgency.”

Enrique Tarrio, the leader of the “Proud Boys” group, was arrested in Washington and charged with vandalizing public property during a protest by Trump supporters, as well as committing a firearm crime.

The action of the Canada Parliament is a symbolic move, but since the Canadian government is watching the proud boys, this action of the Parliament can accelerate the process of including it in the terrorist list.

The Canadian Parliament has called on the Government of Canada to “use all available means to prevent the spread of white supremacists and hate groups.”

The “Proud Boys” group first started under the direction of a Canadian citizen and in 2017, it was covered by the Canadian media.
