The beginning of the South Korean government’s investigation into the fatal incident of the night party in Seoul

Pak Sahafat – South Korean detectives started their investigation on Monday from more than 50 public and private CCTV cameras and social networks about the crowd getting stuck in a narrow street at the same time as they participated in the night party in Seoul, which led to the death of 154 people.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report on Monday from Reuters news agency, South Korea begins its week with public mourning as the number of people killed in the deadly night party incident has increased to 154 people and 149 people were injured, 33 of them are reported to be in serious condition. In addition, citizens from dozens of other countries were also among the dead.

South Korean Prime Minister Han Deok-soo promised a comprehensive and thorough investigation. He also added that the focus is on reconstructing the chain of events that led to this heartbreaking incident, and a separate investigation will be conducted on this issue to determine if a specific person can be responsible for the events.

In an interview with reporters, Nam Go Joon, head of the detective police, said: We are analyzing all the CCTV footage to determine the reason for this incident. At the same time, we will continue to interrogate eyewitnesses.

The Prime Minister of South Korea also announced the identification of most of the victims and preparations for their funerals and said: We are trying to hold a proper ceremony with the necessary support for the families of the victims.

Today, people lit a candle in memory of the victims of this heartbreaking incident at the Itaeun subway station. In addition, the president of this country, Yoon Suk-yol, also participated in the memorial ceremony held in Seoul City Hall for the victims of this accident. This incident is the deadliest incident in this country since 2014 and after the sinking of the ship that killed 304 people, most of whom were students.
