Regarding not holding a meeting with members of Sudan’s Al-Hurriya and Al-Taghir coalition party, he said: We asked some members of the coalition and the armed movements to hold a meeting, but the lack of time did not allow the meeting to take place, so we only had to meet with Army Commander Abdul Fattah al-Burhan as a representative of the military and ousted Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdouk as a civilian representative.

Recently, the media reported on a military coup in Sudan and the arrest of Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdouk and a number of other ministers in the transitional government.
