Pak Sahafat – The user accounts of a number of prominent American journalists who reported on Twitter and Elon Musk, the new CEO of this social network, were suspended.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report, citing the Guardian newspaper, Musk announced in a series of tweets that sharing his location on Twitter is prohibited.
Accounts of journalists from CNN, The Washington Post, and The New York Times, as well as Mashable, were quickly suspended.
All of these news outlets had recently published articles about Musk’s suspension of a Twitter account that shared information about the movements of his private jet.
The Twitter account of a rival media company called Mastodon, which some Twitter users had moved to after Musk took over Twitter, has also been suspended.

New York Times reporter Ryan Mack stated that he was not given any warning before his account was suspended, nor did he receive any explanation from Twitter as to why his account was suspended.
The Committee to Protect Journalists also stated that if individual bans are approved in retaliation for journalistic activity, this is a serious violation of the rights of journalists to report news without fear of censure.
New studies indicate that since the transfer of ownership of Twitter to Elon Musk, despite denials, the number and frequency of hateful and defamatory content on this social network has greatly increased.
Musk claimed last month that since he took ownership of Twitter, the spread of such content has dropped dramatically. But the research results of two anti-hate watch groups show that Mask’s claim is baseless.
The richest man in the world fired several top executives immediately after buying Twitter. Musk’s purchase of Twitter ended nearly 9 years of Twitter as a public company, and it is not clear what changes Musk will consider for Twitter as a private company.
