Tel Aviv desperate to destroy Hamas metro | underground city; Superior resistance tactics

The network of 500-kilometer tunnels and the twisting of resistance in the Gaza Strip, which the Zionist regime calls the Hamas metro, has given Palestinian groups the upper hand, and this has become one of Tel Aviv’s biggest concerns.

The 360-kilometer-long Gaza Strip appears to be a convenient area for Israeli security services to monitor, but what goes deep underground hides many details.

Beneath the Gaza Strip is a network of winding tunnels dug by Hamas and other Palestinian groups over the years. The Zionist regime calls it the Hamas metro and stated that one of the goals of the last 11 days (in May) against the Gaza Strip is the destruction of these tunnels.

“What is the value of the tunnel network in the Gaza Strip and is the claim of the Zionist regime that it has caused a lot of damage to these tunnels true?” Anatoly wrote in a report.

The Palestinian resistance first dug a tunnel during the second Al-Aqsa Intifada in 2000 as a new tactic against the Israeli regime, and this security threat accompanied the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the Gaza Strip in 2005.

Our Palestinian resistance carried out large-scale military operations against Israeli bases between 2001 and 2004, and it was through these tunnels that the Israeli military “Gilad Shalit” was captured in 2006.

According to the report, the advantage of tunnels is that it has the ability to hide from the Zionist regime’s surveillance apparatus, and this allows the resistance fighters to carry out their military, defense and offensive plans away from Tel Aviv with relative ease.

In this regard, “Amin Hatit”, a well-known Lebanese military analyst, told Anatoly, the Israeli regime dominates Gaza from the air and the resistance was faced with two options; one is surrendering and the other is turning to innovative methods. The Palestinian resistance, by digging tunnels, bridged important defense gaps.

During the 11-day war in May, Avio Kokhawi, the chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, claimed that much of the movement’s missile capability had been seized with the aim of seizing the Hamas subway.

Yahya al-Senwar, head of Hamas‘ political bureau, denied the allegations, saying Hamas has five hundred kilometers of underground tunnels, and the Zionist regime has damaged only five percent of them.

In this regard, Amin Hatit, while stating that the Israeli regime did not give a reason for this claim at that time, said, this regime does not have a good solution to end the danger of tunnels in Gaza.

Hatit stressed that the Zionist regime can only end the danger of tunnels if it decides to enter Gaza by land and occupy it, or from time to time launches a large-scale ground attack and destruction of tunnels.

He continued, “But the occupation of Gaza is impossible at the moment because the Zionist army has to pay a high price, and according to Israeli estimates, it will kill at least 2,000 people.”
