Taliban: We will not allow civil war / we will build a strong army

“We will not allow a civil war to break out in Afghanistan,” he said, stressing that a strong army would be formed in Afghanistan in the near future.

According to the regional office of Pak Sahafat News Agency, “Maulvi Fassihuddin, the chief of staff of the Taliban interim government, told a news conference: The disruptors will be defeated and we will not allow anyone to go to war in Afghanistan.

He said consultations on building a strong army in Afghanistan were ongoing and would take place in the near future.

Maulvi Fassihuddin also stressed that the Taliban would crack down on those who disrupt in the name of “ethnicity”, “resistance”, “support for democracy” and the like.

He did not name a specific person or group at the meeting.

The Taliban have repeatedly said that the main cause of the war in Afghanistan is “foreign occupation.”

The Taliban had previously stated that “With the withdrawal of foreign troops, the situation has changed and dozens of cities have been captured without a fight or after a brief skirmish, indicating that” the war in Afghanistan was dominated by foreigners and Afghans are never thirsty for internal wars. “

The Taliban claimed that the call to confront them was the result of “incitement of foreign forces” paving the way for civil war.
