Syrian priest: If there was no resistance, Israel would have occupied Lebanon

Lebanon – Pak Sahafat – The pastor of the Catholic Church in Damascus in an interview with Al-Mayadin network said on Tuesday: If there was no resistance, Israel would have occupied all of Lebanon today.

According to Pak Sahafat from Al-Mayadin, Makarios Qalomeh said: Were it not for its resistance and support for the Syrian army, Israel would have occupied all of Lebanon today.

He added: Were it not for the bloodshed and help of Hezbollah and the Syrian army and our allied forces, there would be no Maulala (a Christian town near Damascus) today.

Qalomeh added: I am against a Christian who wants the rule of the Takfiris and I am with the Shiites who defended the disabled and all of Syria.

The pastor of the Catholic Church in Damascus concluded: War, fire and bullets are nothing but death, and we want friendship and acceptance of others.

Speaking on Monday night, Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah said that Lebanese forces led by Samir Geagea wanted Christians to think that their neighbors in the southern suburbs of Beirut were their enemies and that they should confront.
