Sudanese protest against compromise with Tel Aviv: traitorous rulers do not represent us

Pak Sahafat – Thousands of people from different Sudanese cities today protested and condemned the visit of the Foreign Minister of the Zionist regime to Khartoum, emphasizing that Jerusalem is not for sale.

According to the International group of Pak Sahafat news agency, after the visit of Eli Cohen, the foreign minister of the interim Zionist regime, to Khartoum, thousands of Sudanese people held protest rallies against the normalization of relations between this country and the Zionists.

Quds Network reported that the protesters, holding placards against normalization and in support of Quds, the issue of Palestine and the people of this country, condemned and rejected Cohen’s trip to Khartoum.

Demonstrators chanted slogans such as “Neither peace, nor negotiation, nor recognition”, “Quds belongs to us”, “Normalization is betrayal”, “Palestine is not for sale”, “Khartoum will not betray Quds” and “The treacherous rulers, they don’t represent us” they shouted.

Sudanese groups condemned any compromise with the Zionist regime

These protests were held at the request of the coalition known as “Sudanese against normalization” (Sudanese are against normalization) in order to put pressure on Abdul Fattah al-Barhan and prevent the normalization of Tel Aviv-Khartoum relations.

Government sources in Sudan announced last Thursday that a delegation belonging to the Zionist interim regime has arrived in Khartoum. This trip is part of mutual trips between the officials of Sudan and the Zionist regime, and during it, the process of obtaining an agreement on the normalization of relations and signing it will be reviewed.

In this connection, Abdul Fattah al-Barhan, the head of Sudan’s governing council, said last month that the country’s relations with Tel Aviv continue. Al-Barhan said about the possibility of resuming negotiations and relations with the Zionist Provisional Regime: “These relations have not been cut, but we can say that they will be resumed.”

Earlier, Lebarhan had defended his action to establish relations with Tel Aviv, claiming that this work is in the interest of the country and the people of Sudan. It was in October 2020 that the White House announced that diplomatic relations were resumed between the Zionist regime and Sudan, with the mediation of the then American government headed by Donald Trump.

Sudan signed the Abraham Agreement while Washington had promised the country huge investments in many infrastructure projects; But informed sources say that this has not happened yet.
