Pak Sahafat – The Royal Mail Company of England announced that as a result of a cyber attack, the service department of overseas parcels in this company has faced severe disruption.

According to the report of Pak Sahafat News Agency, the Royal Mail Organization of England announced today, Wednesday, that what it called a “cyber incident” has disrupted the service of this organization in the department of sending parcels abroad.

The company, which is one of the largest companies responsible for providing postal services in the world, announced in a statement on its website that it has temporarily stopped sending postal packages outside the borders of England due to this incident and asked its customers to wait until the disruption is resolved.

According to this company, thousands of businesses and companies use its services to send postal packages around the world.

As Royal Mail announced, it is working with external experts to investigate the incident and has reported it to security authorities and regulatory agencies.

The UK’s Communications Commissioner’s Office, a data protection watchdog, said it would investigate the case. Two other British security organizations, including the National Cyber Security Center and the National Crime Agency, are cooperating with the aim of understanding the dimensions of the impact of this incident.

Royal Mail had a bad year in terms of business last year, losing millions of pounds in revenue due to reduced mail volumes and employee strikes over working conditions and wages.

The British Union of Communications Workers, which represents more than 115,000 Royal Mail employees, plans to launch new protests soon.

The cyberattack on Britain’s most important postal company is the latest in a growing list of high-profile cyber security incidents in the UK in recent months.

In recent weeks, it has been reported that the Twitter accounts of at least two senior ministers of the British government have been hacked, and the “Guardian” magazine reported last month that it was the target of what it called a “serious incident in the field of information technology”. According to Reuters, this publication was the target of a ransomware attack.
