Secretary of Homeland Security: Violent extremism is the greatest threat to the United States

Pak Sahafat – Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of Homeland Security, said: “Violent extremism is one of the biggest threats related to terrorism for the United States.”

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency from CNN, Mayorkas called the attack on Paul Pelosi, the wife of Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a terrible and violent attack in an interview with CNN on Monday night.

In the first reaction after this attack that took place last week, he said: There is no place for such actions in this country.

Mayorkas stated: This case is being investigated and prosecuted by the local authorities, so I will let this process take its course in court.

He noted that the Department of Homeland Security tracks environmental threats and sends information to state and local law enforcement officials so they are alert to these types of threats.
