Screaming death to Al-Saud in front of the Saudi Embassy in London

Pak Sahafat – Dozens of human rights activists, opponents of the Al Saud regime and different sections of the British people protested against the visit of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, to London to participate in the funeral ceremony of the Queen of England, in front of the embassy of this country this Saturday evening.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, in addition to carrying pictures of the crimes of the Al Saud regime, the participants in this protest carried slogans with the words “Justice for Khashoggi”, “Boycott the murderers”, “Give up on Yemen” and “Civil activists”.

They also called for the overthrow of the Al Saud regime in their slogans and shouted ‘Death to Al Saud’, ‘Death to Bin Salman’ and ‘Tell the truth about Khashoggi’s fate’.

Saudi critical journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed by agents of the Saudi regime in October 2017. On 10 Mehr, he entered the Saudi consulate building to register his marriage with his Turkish fiancee, Khadijah Cengiz. After entering the consulate, he disappeared and did not leave. After making sure that Khashoggi did not leave the consulate building, his fiance informed the Turkish police and high officials about the event.

After 18 days of denial, the Al Saud authorities, following international pressure, issued a statement admitting to his murder in the building of the Saudi consulate in Istanbul and claimed that Khashoggi was killed following an argument, but later it became clear that the Saudi Crown Prince issued the order for the aforementioned murder.

In the same year, British government officials expressed concern about this incident by issuing a vague statement, but they were satisfied with the results of Riyadh’s fake investigation in this regard. This is while human rights groups in England are demanding the trial of Bin Salman and the heads of the Saudi regime in international circles.

Stephen Bell, one of the organizers of this protest, told IRNA reporter: Bin Salman has traveled to England to mourn the death of Elizabeth, but we ask him who mourns the thousands of Yemenis who have lost their lives as a result of his imposed war. Who feels sorry for the political prisoners who were arbitrarily executed due to his dictatorial rule?

He stated that this situation should be stopped and the London government should stop supporting the Saudi regime.

While Saudi Arabia is considered to be one of Britain’s major trading partners, it is obvious that the London authorities do not want to do anything that would jeopardize the relations between the two countries.

In the story of the war in Yemen, which killed and injured tens of thousands of Yemenis and destroyed this Islamic country, this country issued a license to sell about 7.1 billion pounds of weapons to Saudi Arabia and played an important role in the training of Saudi forces. However, the campaign against the arms trade in the UK estimates that this figure is around 23 billion pounds.

British Prime Minister Liz Truss, who previously headed the Ministry of International Trade, lifted the ban on arms sales to Saudi Arabia on July 17, 2019, and claimed that based on the research conducted; there is no danger in the sale of military weapons to Saudi Arabia and the possibility of its use in cases of violations.

In a statement, he claimed that human rights laws were violated only during a few airstrikes by the Saudi coalition in the Yemen war, and this issue was resolved by making reforms in the process of issuing a license to sell weapons to Saudi Arabia.

This is while the Supreme Court of England issued a ruling demanding the suspension and review of arms sales licenses to Saudi Arabia. The court declared that the government’s decision-making process to sell weapons to Saudi Arabia was wrong.

In today’s demonstration, the protestors chanted “stop supporting the Al Saud” and demanded justice.

Mohammed bin Salman is one of the leaders who traveled to this country to attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. According to the announced schedule, the funeral ceremony will be held on Monday with the presence of the heads of some countries in the Westminster Abbey church, and the Saudi Crown Prince is present in this ceremonial program.

British Prime Minister Liz Truss plans to use this opportunity to hold diplomatic meetings. According to the schedule announced by the Prime Minister’s Office, a meeting with the President of the United States, the Prime Minister of Canada, New Zealand and Poland has been arranged, but until the publication of this news, there was no mention of the meeting with Bin Salman.
