Saudi Arabia condemned the insult of the leader of the ruling party of India to the Prophet (PBUH)

Pak Sahafat – The Saudi Foreign Ministry on Sunday night condemned the insult of an official in the ruling party of India to the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH).

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, from the official news agency of Saudi Arabia (WAS), the Saudi Foreign Ministry said: We emphasize that we are against any desecration of Islamic religious symbols and figures.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry added: We deplore and condemn the remarks made by the spokesman of the ruling party in India.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry also welcomed the Indian ruling party’s suspension of the spokesman.

Earlier, Iran, Qatar, Kuwait, Yemen and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) had condemned the insult to the Prophet of Islam by an official of the ruling party of India.

As the popular protests against the insult of two members of the ruling party of India against the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) spread, the party fired one of them and suspended the other membership until further investigation.

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday suspended the membership of its spokesman Nopur Sharma for insulting remarks against the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and declared that it respects the sanctities of all religions.

A statement from India’s ruling party told Sharma that his membership would be suspended pending further investigation.
