Samir Geagea has been summoned for the Beirut incidents

Lebanese sources said the leader of the Lebanese Al-Qawat Party Samir Geagea has been summoned over the Beirut incidents.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency International Group, Lebanese news sources reported the summoning of Samir Geagea, leader of the Lebanese Al-Qawat Party, over the events in Beirut.

Al-Jadeed News Network reported that Geagea was summoned in connection with the Beitun incident in Beirut. Informed sources said that Geagea was summoned following the confessions of the detainees.

According to these sources, other chiefs are said to have been summoned because of the case, which is as politically significant as Geja.

The sources clarified that Geagea has been summoned to hear his explanations and may not appear until a court order is issued in this regard.

According to these sources, if the plaintiff can give a good reason for his absence and the judge finds his reasoning acceptable, he may not attend the hearing.

In a recent speech, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah called al-Quwat the biggest threat to Lebanese Christians and said its goal was to drag Lebanon into a civil war.

Last week, seven people were killed and several others were wounded in sniper fire on Hezbollah and Amal supporters in al-Tayouna, Beirut. Estimates show that the ambush was pre-planned and that an Al-Qawat Party official was present in the area the day before the incident and oversaw preparations for the ambush.

In this regard, Faisal Karami, a member of the Lebanese parliament from the Al-Laqa al-Tashwari faction, said in response to the recent events in Beirut that, despite efforts by some to introduce Geagea as a statesman, the al-Tayouna incident revealed his true face.

Karami said: This is the real Samir Geagea; A criminal, murderer, and sniper who seize opportunities for political gain at the cost of bloodshed. A murderer and a criminal do not deserve amnesty, and Geagea is responsible for the situation we are in now in Lebanon.

He concluded by expressing confidence in the Lebanese judiciary and army, calling for a speedy and transparent investigation.
