Foreign Ministry of Russia spokesman stressed: The escalation of the situation in the Oman Sea is largely the result of irresponsible US policy, which is constantly escalating tensions around Iran and the entire Middle East region through its provocative actions.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a news conference that the incident took place between the US and Iranian navies, which, according to Tehran officials, prevented the US from trying to seize an oil tanker in Iran. Zakharova, meanwhile, stressed that the escalation of the situation in the Oman Sea is largely the result of the US government’s irresponsible policy, which has repeatedly escalated tensions over Iran and the Middle East and the Persian Gulf in general.
