Qatar: Doha will not abandon China because of America

Pak Sahafat – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar emphasized: Doha has strong relations with the US and China and is not willing to abandon one for the sake of the other.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, quoted by Qatar’s “Al-Sharq” newspaper, Sheikh “Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country, said this on Friday and announced this with the “Asia News” channel, which is broadcast from Singapore.

He added: Doha has strong relations with America, and on the other hand, China is the biggest energy supplier and political ally of Qatar.

Stating that “both of them play a role in creating stability in the world”, he added: “Doha does not want to be in a situation where it chooses one side for the sake of the other, and it will not cut off its relationship with one country for the sake of another.”

Qatar’s Foreign Minister continued: The big countries of the world do not want the world to become polarized and they do not want big powers like China and America.

He emphasized that the tension between America and China will affect the world and put the world in a more difficult situation for everyone.

Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani advised the countries that have relations with America and China to maintain their friendly relations with everyone and to help resolve disputes peacefully and avoid tension in order to prevent the increase of disputes.
