Putin sent a message of condolence to Erdogan and Assad: We are ready to help

Pak Sahafat – In message to his Turkish and Syrian counterparts, the Russian President announced Moscow’s readiness to provide the necessary assistance to resolve the consequences of today’s earthquake.

According to the report of Pak Sahafat News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences today (Monday) for the deaths and injuries of a large number of people in Turkey and Syria following the 7.4-magnitude earthquake.

In a message to Syrian President Bashar Assad, Putin said: Mr. President, I would like to express my deepest condolences regarding the tragic consequences of the earthquake in the northern regions of Syria. We share the grief and pain of those who have lost their loved ones.

According to “Ryanvosti” website, while announcing Russia’s readiness to provide aid to Syria, he stated: We wish a speedy recovery for all those affected by the earthquake and are ready to provide the necessary assistance to resolve the consequences of this natural disaster.

The Kremlin also announced that the Russian President, in a message to his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said: Mr. President, please accept our sincere condolences for the massive losses and destruction caused by the powerful earthquake in your country.

According to this report, while expressing sympathy with the families of the victims and wishing health to the earthquake victims in Turkey, Putin emphasized: “We are ready to provide the necessary assistance in this regard.”

Earlier, Turkey’s Vice President Fuad Oktay, while referring to the cancellation of passenger flights in some earthquake-affected provinces, announced that 284 people have been killed and 2,323 injured in this earthquake.
