Pak Sahafat – President of Finland Sauli Niinisto said that he believes that Putin will stand to the end in the Ukraine war and said: “The concern is that even if the Russian president has no chance of winning, he will not back down from this war until the bitter end.”
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report, quoting from the Swedish newspaper Dagnes Nighter, the President of Finland described the current situation between Russia and Ukraine as a very sad situation and added that the situation is worse than what he imagined a year ago.
Niinisto clarified: This is not just a war between soldiers, this is a war against the society, infrastructure and people of Ukraine.
He added: We have a full-scale war now, and probably the worst thing is that we cannot see the end of it.
Niinisto stated: The referendum organized by Russia in September 2022 is worrying. After that, the Russian president announced that the occupied territories are part of Russia forever.

The President of Finland added: I am worried that Putin will go to the bitter end without any chance of victory.
According to this newspaper, Niinisto assessed the determination of the Ukrainians very firmly and compared Putin’s actions in Ukraine with the start of Stalin’s winter war in Finland.
He pointed out: authoritarian leaders hardly understand that people in free democratic countries have their principles and strong will.
According to this Swedish newspaper, Niinisto has come to the conclusion that the best possible end to the war is one that is fair to the Ukrainians but does not provoke Russia’s desire for revenge.
