Politico: America no longer has a reason to reprimand Saudi Arabia

According to the International group of Pak Sahafat news agency, the American newspaper “Politico” wrote in an analytical report that, contrary to its claims, the administration of “Joe Biden” has no plans to review its relations with Saudi Arabia, and there is no reason to rebuke Riyadh.”

According to the report of the Arabi21 news site, Politico writes: Months have passed since the Biden administration promised to re-evaluate the relations between the United States and Saudi Arabia and the American president threatened that there will be consequences for Riyadh if it decides to reduce oil production, but nothing has happened.

We read further in this report: According to several American officials, the government has not officially reviewed Riyadh-Washington relations. These officials have disclosed that what is going on are discussions between sensitive American and Saudi diplomatic missions; these consultations are the normal process of policy making.

While describing the current talks between Riyadh and Washington as “continuous and formless consultations”, these American officials have clarified that there is no serious beginning to re-evaluate relations by the current American government with the leaders of Saudi Arabia; and we should not expect an end either.

The reasons for America’s anger about Iran, China and Saudi agreements

This American newspaper, while emphasizing the point that Biden’s motivation to reprimand Riyadh has disappeared, noted: The roles played by Saudi Arabia recently have been good; The price of gas has been decreasing since last summer, the ceasefire in Yemen is one year old, Riyadh will pay 37 billion dollars to buy Boeing planes and 400 million dollars for humanitarian aid to Ukraine. So you have to ask: So why should we declare sanctions on Saudi Arabia, which is committed to the interests of American national security?

However, none of these reasons satisfy the critics of US-Saudi relations; because some officials of the Senate and even the White House are still afraid of the continuation of Saudi announcements and decisions in OPEC+, the country’s approach to China, and the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, which will provoke Washington again and again.

This report is published while the American newspaper “Wall Street Journal” recently wrote in a report: The sudden decrease in Saudi oil production shows that Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, no longer cares about pleasing the United States, which was angered by this action.
