Pilots strike in Germany and 30,000 passengers stranded

Pak Sahafat – The one-day strike of the pilots of the German “Eurowings” airline company, which is scheduled to be held (Thursday), will involve 30,000 passengers and cause them to wander in the airports.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, Reuters added by publishing this article: Officials of the German Lufthansa airline announced that they are trying to reduce the dimensions of this one-day strike, which is supposed to include 30,000 passengers.

According to this report: Eurowings, a subsidiary of Germany’s Lufthansa, operates low-cost flights in Europe. It is expected that half of the scheduled flights, or at least 500 flights of this company, will be carried out.

The strike only covers German Eurowings flights and not the airline’s European flights.

Reuters further added: The Union of Pilots and Flight Engineers based in Frankfurt, Germany announced a strike last Tuesday after 10 rounds of failed negotiations. Eurowings pilots want to reduce workload, such as reducing the amount of time a pilot has to be on duty or increasing rest periods. Eurowings said in a statement, these demands endanger the life of the airline.

Eurowings flies to 130 destinations with a fleet of over 100 aircraft.
