Tehran- Pak Sahafat- an American ship entered the Black Sea to welcome NATO to participate in a NATO exercise under Russian supervision.
According to Pak Sahafat news agency, the US military announced that the ship Mount Whitney entered the region (Black Sea) to conduct routine naval operations with NATO allies and partners.
The Black Sea is particularly close to the Crimean peninsula, which Russia annexed in 2014, and is a sensitive security zone for Moscow.
The Tass news agency quoted the Russian Defense Ministry as saying that forces and equipment of the Black Sea Fleet were monitoring the actions of the Mont Whitney command ship.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Monday that Russian forces can monitor Mount Whitney through binoculars or on the radar of their defense systems.
Moscow experienced tensions with NATO last month and has repeatedly expressed concern about the alliance’s activities near its borders.
The presence of the American ship in the Black Sea was welcomed by Ukraine. Foreign Minister Dmitry Kolba tweeted: Ukraine strongly supports the growing presence of US and NATO partners in the region.
The presence of this American ship in the Black Sea coincides with the day of Russia’s national unity, on which Putin also traveled to Crimea, and in his speech he always considered Crimea for Russia, which was severely criticized by Ukraine.
