More than 70% of Americans are dissatisfied with the healthcare system

Pak Sahafat – The results of a new survey show that more than 70% of American adults believe that the healthcare system of this country is not able to meet their needs.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, the results of the Harris Institute survey, which was provided to Time on Tuesday, show that although the United States spends the most per capita on health care services compared to other rich countries, in terms of life expectancy and other health achievements.

This survey indicates that due to high treatment costs, lack of access and confusion in the provision of health services, patients’ satisfaction with the health system has decreased.

This survey, which was conducted in February and March with the participation of about 2,500 Americans, shows that High medical cost, the health system’s focus on profit making, lack of access to health insurance, and confusion about what is covered by insurance are among the issues that Americans are generally critical of.

Meanwhile, only 27% of the participants in this survey expressed satisfaction with the American healthcare system.

But 31% of the respondents criticized the way of making appointments, 26% criticized the high treatment costs and 23% criticized the restrictions in insurance coverage.

Also, 44% of the respondents said that they refused or postponed the necessary medical services in the last two years.
