More than 157,000 killed under the pretext of American democracy in Afghanistan

The fight against terrorism and the establishment of democracy, which was the main reason for the Americans to be in Afghanistan, has not resulted in more than 157,000 deaths and thousands of injuries for Afghans in two decades.

Since the US presence in Afghanistan, we have always seen the Americans as the main reason for their presence in Afghanistan in the fight against terrorism and the establishment of democracy in accordance with the principles of Western liberal democracy and the establishment of American state-nationalization methods in this Asian country.

This is also why Washington has paid a heavy price in the last two decades but has resulted in thousands of casualties for Afghanistan.

The Watson Institute last year reported that more than 157,000 people had been killed in the war in Afghanistan since the US-led military coalition invaded Afghanistan in November 2019.

The report adds that 43,000 civilians, 64,000 military and 42,000 armed opposition members of the Afghan government were killed during this period.

The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has previously stated in a report; an average of 10,000 people have been killed and injured in Afghanistan each year since the agency released statistics on Afghan civilian casualties in 2009.

UNAMA also reported in a recent report that 3,035 Afghan civilians were killed and 5,785 were injured in armed conflict in 2020.
