Macron: It is impossible to send fighters to Ukraine in the coming weeks

Pak Sahafat – French President Emmanuel Macron said that it is impossible to send fighter jets to Ukraine in the coming weeks even if European leaders agree.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, quoting from the French news agency, Macron said on Friday after the meeting of the European leaders, which was held in Brussels with the presence of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky: I do not reject anything, but this issue is not in line with today’s requirements.

Referring to the Caesar weapons and the Mamba defense system promised to Ukraine by France, he said: “It is important that the allies send the most useful and fastest equipment.”

Russia has launched new attacks in Ukraine at the same time as Zelensky’s visit to England, France and Belgium.

Russian official: The West will not stop at sending tanks to Ukraine

Hence, Zelensky has gone to Europe with a new list, asking for fighter jets, long-range missiles and heavy tanks. Ukraine is also facing a shortage of artillery shells.

Ukraine’s allies are worried that sending advanced Western weapons to the country will intensify tensions with Moscow and conflict between Russia and NATO.

Although Macron and European leaders in Brussels warmly welcomed Zelenskiy and promised to remain with Ukraine, they were cautious about meeting his demands to receive the fighter jet.

Zelenskiy claimed on Thursday that several EU leaders have expressed readiness to send fighter jets to Kiev, but Bloomberg quoted a senior European official as saying that no European leader has yet committed to providing fighter jets to Ukraine.
