Leaders of the Niger coup: We will immediately respond to any military intervention

Pak Sahafat – The leaders of the Niger coup announced that any military intervention in this country will be answered immediately.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency from Al Jazeera, the leaders of the coup in Niger canceled the military cooperation agreements with France and pledged to respond immediately to any foreign military intervention.

The Economic Community of West African States on Wednesday announced its readiness for military intervention in Niger, but at the same time stressed that military intervention would be the last option for what it called the return of democracy in Niger.

In this regard, Isata Tal Sal, the foreign minister of Senegal, announced that if the ECOWAS organization decides to carry out military operations in Niger, Senegal will participate in a possible military intervention in this country.

On August 4th of this month, Niger’s presidential guard forces put an end to the new era of politics and the first experience of a peaceful transfer of power in this colonized country by arresting the president of this country, “Mohammed Bazoum” inside the presidential palace and then removing him.

With an area of ​​1.3 million square kilometers, Niger is the largest country in the West African region, and the majority of its population of 24 million people are Muslims.

Although Niger is one of the poorest countries in the world, it also has the largest uranium reserves. This country was a French colony until 1960 and declared its independence from this country in this year.
