Hundreds of prisoners are sick in Israeli prisons

There are more than 600 sick prisoners in Israeli prisons, dozens of whom have dangerous diseases such as cancer, said the head of the research section of the Committee for the Affairs of Palestinian Prisoners and Freedmen.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency International Group, “More than 600 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons are ill,” said Abdul Nasser Farwaneh, head of research at the Committee for the Affairs of Palestinian Prisoners and Freedmen.

According to Al-Mayadin, he stated, dozens of people have serious illnesses such as heart disease, kidney failure and cancer or are paralyzed, and some of them are not even able to defecate without the help of others.

Farwaneh continued: These people are the ones who have developed complications of the disease and have been diagnosed as sick. If all the prisoners are examined, the number of sick prisoners will undoubtedly be higher.

In this regard, the Committee for the Affairs of Palestinian Prisoners recently announced that the physical condition of “Nasser Abu Hamid”, a prisoner with cancer, is critical and he is in a coma.

The number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons is reported to be around 4,500, including 40 women, 170 children, and 380 detainees without charge.

543 prisoners are sentenced to life imprisonment and the number of sick prisoners is 700, 300 of whom have dangerous and chronic diseases.
