Hezbollah Lebanon: Saudi Arabia humbly listens to the US government

In a statement in response to the Saudi government’s crackdown on a Lebanese charity, Lebanese Hezbollah said Riyadh was listening to a US government order.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency International Group, Lebanon’s Hezbollah today (Thursday) reacted in a statement to the Saudi government’s decision yesterday to declare the Al-Qarz al-Hassan charity a terrorist organization, calling it a clear interference in Lebanon’s internal affairs.

According to the Al-Manar website, Hezbollah said in a statement that the Saudi government’s move was a “humiliating obedience” to the US government and a “humble service” to the goals of the Zionist enemy.

The statement stressed that the Saudi government’s action has no effect on the performance of this humanitarian organization, which is dedicated to serving the poor and the needy and the Lebanese people.

Saudi Arabia announced yesterday evening (Wednesday) that the Al-Qarz al-Hassan Foundation, based in Lebanon, has declared itself a terrorist organization. Riyadh linked the foundation to the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, claiming that the association manages Hezbollah money and finances the movement, including in military matters.

Saudi Arabia has also accused the Hezbollah of calling the movement a terrorist organization and said that all its assets in Saudi Arabia would be frozen and that its direct or indirect interaction with the union would be banned.

Saudi Arabia has previously placed several companies and individuals linked to the Hezbollah movement on its sanctions list.
