The Palestinian movements Hamas and Islamic Jihad praised Algeria’s decision to cancel its speech at a meeting of the Mediterranean International Parliamentary Assembly due to the presence of a delegation from the Zionist regime.
The withdrawal of the Algerian parliamentary delegation from the speech at the meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean countries due to the presence of the representatives of the Zionist regime was welcomed by Hamas and the Islamic Jihad.
According to the Palestine Information Center, Nafez Azzam, a member of the Islamic Jihad political bureau, told a news conference that the Algerian people and leaders have always taken such positions, given their sense of responsibility towards Palestine and its cause.
“We are sure that Algeria will always be like a high wall and a stronghold against all conspiracies and the normalization of relations with the Zionist enemy,” Azzam said.
He stressed: “Countering the normalization of relations with the Zionist enemy is a religious and moral duty, and Algeria has taken a firm and firm position in this regard.”
Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasim praised the Algerian delegation’s action against the Zionist regime, calling it a sign of the Arab world’s national stance against the compromise agreement and the normalization of relations between some Arab countries and the Zionist regime.
The Hamas spokesman stressed: “This Algerian stance shows that the issue of Palestine is rooted in the conscience of the Algerian people and that the people of this country are defending the Palestinian cause at all levels.”
The Algerian parliamentary delegation canceled its speech at a meeting of the Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly on “Economic Activities after the Corona Crisis” on Friday due to the presence of a delegation from the Zionist regime.
